"I am a Cloud and Network Infrastructure Engineer with over five years of hands-on experience working across enterprise networking, cloud platforms, and production infrastructure."

Early Curiosity and First Steps

My journey into technology began during my master’s degree, where I balanced academic work with freelancing projects. My early exposure to development came through HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, building small web-based systems that helped me understand how applications interact with underlying infrastructure.

While these early projects sparked my interest in software, I quickly became more curious about how systems communicate, scale, and remain reliable. This led me to specialize in computer networking, where I developed a strong foundation in data communication, network design, and security principles.

From Academic Concepts to Real-World Infrastructure

After graduating, I transitioned into the networking industry, where I began working in live production environments and data centers including ASX, NextDC, and Equinix. I gained hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet devices, starting at Layer-1 operations and progressing into Layer-3 routing and switching roles.

My responsibilities evolved to include:

  • Designing and maintaining fiber-optic and enterprise network topologies
  • Deploying and supporting Cisco SD-WAN solutions
  • Operating high-availability environments with strict uptime and performance requirements
  • Supporting network security and compliance aligned with ITIL processes

During this phase, I earned my Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and CompTIA Security+, strengthening my understanding of secure and resilient infrastructure design.

Expanding into Cloud and Modern Infrastructure

As cloud platforms became central to modern systems, I shifted my focus toward cloud infrastructure and hybrid environments. I began working with AWS and Azure, applying my networking background to cloud-native architectures, connectivity, and security.

In parallel, I developed experience with:

  • Cloud networking (VPC/VNet design, routing, security controls)
  • Infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Kubernetes operations with a focus on networking, reliability, and service exposure
  • Incident response, root cause analysis, and change management in SLA-driven environments

This transition allowed me to bridge traditional networking with cloud-native operations, ensuring systems were not only scalable but also stable, observable, and secure.

Automation, Intelligence, and Systems Thinking

Alongside my core infrastructure work, I explored automation and data-driven systems to improve operational efficiency and system intelligence. Some of my personal and freelance projects involved applying AI and data-processing techniques to automate workflows, improve monitoring insights, and enhance system behavior.

Rather than pursuing AI as a standalone discipline, I approached it as a tool to support infrastructure reliability, automation, and decision-making. These projects strengthened my ability to think in systems, design end-to-end pipelines, and balance innovation with production reliability.

Professional Growth and Collaboration

Across both employment and freelance engagements, I have worked in client-facing environments where clear communication, documentation, and collaboration were essential. I regularly contributed to runbooks, operational documentation, and knowledge sharing, and worked closely with engineers, stakeholders, and customers to deliver dependable technical outcomes.

Beyond Technology

Outside of work, I’m a sports and gym enthusiast. Competing on the field has taught me discipline, focus, and teamwork, which I try to bring into everything I build.

For a long time, I focused quietly on building and learning rather than promoting my work. This website is my way of sharing my journey, documenting what I’ve learned, and presenting the projects and ideas that continue to shape my growth as a cloud and infrastructure engineer.

Thank you for taking the time to explore my work. :)
